This is the Oakland Kitchen Remodel prior to the disassembly of everything that will be moved/rearranged. The Owner has been looking forward to soing this for quite some time. The current size and wall lay-out created a very long kitchen and dining area that had very little natural light reaching the center of the area in addition to a wall lay-out that served to "chop-up" the space and lend itself to a loss of true functionality. The lowered floor area will be raised to the same elevation as the rest of the floor, in-floor hydronic radiant heat will be added, the basboard heaters will be removed, an island will be added, the entire cabinet lay-out and appliance.sink locations will be rearranged, the ceiling lighting will be completely changed, the utility location will be moved, a door to the back patio will be added, new tile will be installed that will run from the kitchen and down the main hallway toward the bedrooms ... all-in-all, a complete redo. It is always fun to do a project like this when the owner has been looking forward to it for so long and the end result will inarguably much better than what the original condition was!!
